SUMMARY:Guided Tour: ALL THINGS DIGESTING with the artists sikau/pubalova
DESCRIPTION:🇬🇧 \nExplore the exhibition ALL THINGS DIGESTING with the artist duo sikau/pubalova. \nThe exhibition project by the artist duo sikau/pubalova approaches the gallery as an interactive space and a playground for all the senses. The exhibition works with themes of digestion\, absorption\, and transformation on the level of the body\, material\, and environment. It connects haptic experience\, sound\, scent\, and movement. The installations offer an open way of encountering contemporary art without the need for a single correct interpretation. \nAt the center of the exhibition is the rotating installation Turning Green. Its sound layer is composed of voices of people sharing personal experiences of environmental changes in the world around us\, creating a space for listening and mutual empathy \n🇨🇿 \nProjděte si výstavu ALL THINGS DIGESTING s uměleckým duem sikau/pubalova. \nVýstavní projekt uměleckého dua sikau/pubalova pojímá galerii jako interaktivní prostor a hřiště pro všechny smysly. Výstava pracuje s motivy trávení\, vstřebávání a proměny na úrovni těla\, materiálu i prostředí. Propojuje haptickou zkušenost\, zvuk\, čich i pohyb. Instalace nabízejí otevřený způsob setkání se současným uměním bez nutnosti jediné správné interpretace. \nStředobodem výstavy je rotující instalace Zezelenat. Její zvukovou vrstvu tvoří hlasy lidí sdílejících osobní zkušenosti s environmentálními proměnami světa kolem nás a vytváří tak prostor pro naslouchání a vzájemnou empatii. \nKomentovaná prohlídka proběhne v angličtině.

SUMMARY:Shut Up & Write! ve Skauťáku
DESCRIPTION:Shut Up & Write! — a worldwide phenomenon. No matter\, if you’re sixteen or sixty\, come and join us on a writing adventure! Anyone’s welcome! You don’t have to be an established author. In fact\, you don’t have to be an author at all! Join our laid‐back group on a Sunday afternoon\, and work on anything you desire. A novel\, a short story\, a screenplay\, a diary entry\, a scientific paper\, a poem\, a recipe\, a blogpost\, or maybe just an urgent e‐mail? Whatever it is that’s on your mind\, we’re here to silently support your efforts. You’ll find us every Sunday at high noon in one of the café back rooms — usually the first one. We gather\, grab some refreshments\, and around 12:15 start a short introductory round. Then we — as expected — Shut Up & Write! We write in two 45‐minute blocks with about 15‐minute break in between to stretch\, resupply\, or visit the bathroom. Perfect for networking too! At the end\, we have a short wrap‐up loop. Sometimes we stay and chat a bit afterwards\, share news\, ideas\, fresh thoughts… But we’re usually done even with that by 3 pm latest. Of course\, you’re free to leave anytime! Started by a San Francisco based sci‐fi writer Rennie Saunders in 2007\, based on years of experience\, and joined by over 10\,000 writers in over 400 cities in more than 60 countries worldwide. Now in Prague! Come try the magic of writing in a company. The primary communication language is English\, but you can write anything you want\, in any language you prefer. No sharing\, no critique\, no stress\, completely free. Participants can be assisted in Czech if necessary. ~~~ Shut Up & Write! (Zmlkni a piš!) Potom — dle očekávání — zmlkneme a píšeme! Nyní i v Praze!

SUMMARY:A Hymn to Life: Shame has to Change Sides (Memoir) by Gisele Pelicot
DESCRIPTION:The Feminist Book Club meet to discuss the memoir by Gisele Pelicot. \nThe extraordinarily powerful memoir by a heroine of our times\, whose story inspires change\, compassion and courage. \nOne November day\, Gisèle Pelicot was called to a local police station and life as she knew it ended. Her husband of fifty years had been caught by a supermarket guard filming up women’s skirts. But on his computer was shattering evidence: for nearly a decade\, he had been secretly drugging and raping her and inviting dozens of strangers into their home to abuse her. \nFour years later\, he and fifty other men were put on trial and Gisèle’s courage in waiving her right to anonymity made global headlines. ‘Shame must change sides\,’ she declared\, giving voice and hope to millions. Her words became a rallying cry and her decision marked a turning point in public feeling about sexual violence. \nFor the first time\, and with unwavering honesty and grace\, she describes a difficult childhood\, first love\, her career and motherhood. It is a life in determined search of happiness\, both before and after her devastating discovery. She is an ordinary person who faces extraordinary catastrophe\, whose example changes the world. \nA Hymn to Life is an unforgettable testament and a promise. Its message is one of defiance and renewal – that victims have no reason to feel ashamed; that even after unimaginable betrayal we can go on; that the colour can come back to life. Ultimately\, Gisèle Pelicot emerges with a renewed passion and reverence for living\, and for love.
