DESCRIPTION:Muzeum literatury\, Vila Lanna a Villa Pellé již potřetí společně pořádají festival TRIANGL\, který propojuje literaturu\, umění\, historii a architekturu. Letošní ročník je věnován 90. výročí narození Václava Havla a představí jej nejen jako státníka a jednu z nejvýznamnějších osobností českých dějin 20. století\, ale také jako dramatika\, esejistu a spisovatele.  \nV průběhu festivalu ožijí všechny tři vily výstavami\, divadelními představeními\, přednáškami\, komentovanými prohlídkami\, tvůrčími dílnami i programem pro rodiny s dětmi. Návštěvníci budou mít příležitost strávit den v inspirativním prostředí výjimečných architektonických památek a objevovat odkaz Václava Havla z různých perspektiv.  \nFestival se uskuteční v sobotu 12. září a vstup na všechny programy bude zdarma. DESCRIPTION:Globe Creative Writing Group was established in October of 2016. We meet weekly at the Globe Bookstore on Mondays from 19-21. Feel free to come by and introduce yourself\, whether or not your facebook request has been acknowledged by us. We receive many requests\, and prefer to accept those we know will contribute later on. :). \n\n\n\nWe are an eclectic group composed of various writers practising a range of techniques. We’ve so far been writing short fiction\, poetry\, essays\, genre fiction\, experimental prose\, surrealism\, playwriting\, screenwriting\, non-fiction as well as long-term projects. \n\n\n\nThis group relies on and sustains itself through thoughtful and productive critique. During our meetings\, we discuss each member’s submission (should they choose to submit that week) in depth. At the end of each meeting\, a prompt is assigned that we will base our submissions for the next week on. Transcending the prompt\, of course\, is always possible. If you would like feedback on a long-term project or a submission that isn’t related to the prompt\, feel free to do so. \n\n\n\nRules and Guidelines for Submissions:\n\n\n-To ensure everyone can give\, and get\, quality critiques\, we will review no more than 8 submissions per week.\n\n\n-Please submit by Saturday at the latest. As many of us have jobs\, families\, holidays etc.\, we need ample time to give thoughtful feedback and criticism to each submission. If you submit later than the Saturday deadline\, don’t worry! We can save your work to critique the next week.\n\n\n-If you do submit\, please be present at the meeting that your work will be critiqued. If you cannot make it\, please let the group know via the Facebook group. If we take the time to critique\, we want to know that you will be there to accept feedback. We want to make sure everyone receives ample time to discuss and is not overwhelmed by the amount of content they will need to read. It doesn’t matter where you come from\, everybody attending will be lead to chat in Czech.\nMichael Thomas constructed a successful language learning method using audio recordings of a class\, leaving space and time for students to try to compose the sentences themselves.\nAs many other psychologists assume\, your brain learns best while creating the content itself. For example: once you count a simple numerical task yourself\, you are much more likely to remember the procedure years after\, than if you just try to remember every formula there is.\nOur language lessons uses this knowledge to create a completely new approach to this. We assume that you have picked up a few words over the months or years you have lived here\, maybe you read a book or two and maybe there is a Czech dictionary next to your toilet bowl.\nMaybe you understand a little bit\, but you are too lazy\, shy or insecure to use this skill in conversation. Well\, guess what – everybody attending is having the same issue as you\, and yes – you can switch to Spanish or English or any language you prefer if you feel more comfortable that way\, and maybe meet someone interesting and want to have a more complex conversation.\nYou are not going to leave with seven different homeworks\, we are not going to give you tests or grades. His poetry is now\, for the first time\, available to the wider world. SUMMARY:Navigating the Social Crisis through Critical Theory
DESCRIPTION:Critical Theory Workshop \nCritical theory is characterized by its twofold approach towards the social reality: critical and emancipatory. It explains the often unseen or overlooked roots of social problems\, connects seemingly isolated social phenomena and uncovers sources of hope\, freedom\, and resistance in the ruptures of the nearly all-encompassing suppressive and distorting social system. In various forms and constellations\, those two motivations of critical reflection and reconstruction of emancipatory potential appear across the theories and conceptions\, from Theodor W. Adorno\, Max Horkheimer\, Herbert Marcuse\, across Jürgen Habermas\, Axel Honneth\, and Rahel Jaeggi to Nancy Fraser\, Robin Celikates\, or Eva von Redecker\, to name just a few. In the current social situation\, characterized by the dismissal of the environmental crisis\, the increasingly accepted outbreak of global military conflicts\, together with the growing resignation and indifference to the sufferings of humans and non-humans alike\, the approach of critical theory is highly relevant. Many people and social groups find themselves on the periphery: geographical\, or social\, on the periphery of recognition\, power\, or social participation. The inequality leads to the rise of intolerance amongst different social groups\, as well as the rise of far-right and populist political movements. Even in the grim social situation\, we need to reformulate the possibilities and limitations of critical reflection and to articulate the need for emancipation from a new\, darker\, and peripheral perspective. \nThe aim of this workshop is to explore the challenges and options of critical reflection in the current social situation and to ask whether we can think of feasible ways of imagining and describing new emancipatory potential. We invite papers from across the various approaches of critical theory\, discussing the historical\, conceptual\, practical\, political\, ethical\, and aesthetic views on the problems of social criticism and/or social emancipation.
