Prague Fringe: Pickled Republic

Welcome to the jar! A surreal theatrical cabaret for adults set in a pickling jar. Straight from a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, acclaimed physical performer Ruxy Cantir brings you tomatoes, potatoes and carrots as you’ve never seen them before. Described as the theatre child of Eugene Ionesco’s absurdism and David Lynch’s smoky mystery, this award-winning show explores despair and our need for purpose in a most undignified way. Combining clown, mask, movement and a poem or two, Pickled Republic follows the tragicomic journey of pickled vegetables who come to life to ask major existential questions and offer ridiculous answers.

Be prepared, bring a hankie, will you laugh or cry? Who knows. You’ll leave all stirred up but none the wiser.
