Prague Fringe: Rani and Rumi

After a phenomenal international run of The Chai Queens at the Prague Fringe Festival and Colchester Fringe Festival, earning honours including Best Queer Show and the Best Inspiration Award, The Forbidden Productions returns with Rani and Rumi.

Taranjit Kaur is back, with an intimate solo performance that is fiercer, funnier, and more vulnerable than ever. When Rumi leaves without warning, Rani is left with a house full of objects — a gift box, red heels, love letters — each heavy with memory. What do you hold on to when the person is gone? The shirt that still carries their scent? Or do you learn to let the objects go and carry only the love?

Directed by Vansh Bhardwaj, this tender exploration of love, loss, and the quiet war between clinging and release is raw, poetic, and deeply human — not just a play, but an experience.
