Humans are a social animal. Increasingly we spend more of our time in a virtual reality. Without noticing, many of us isolate ourselves, and our heads get pretty messy. This makes human interaction more difficult, so we don’t want to do it – and it’s a vicious cycle.
That is why I have created ‘Prescriptions’, a way of discovering events based on how you feel. I am not a mental health professional, I am just a person who reached a point in therapy where I realised I needed to socialise. Increasingly I see articles about doctors recommending arts events, and this is my little attempt at that. I categorised these according to how I have felt and how I have responded to these events.

The title Prescriptions is inspired by William Seighart’s The Poetry Pharmacy, and the idea is inspired by Heather Havrilesky’s answer to this Ask Polly column.
This is not to take the place of therapy or an actual medical prescription. This is to guide you to opportunities where you will be challenged and help you break through those challenges.
