The Prague Creative Conclave

Are you a writer, painter, illustrator, musician, or any other kind of artist or creative type?

Do you have:
* a creative project you’re working on at the moment?
* a particular work you made in the past that you’re fond of and want to discuss?
* an orphan project that you abandoned, but would like to revisit (even if it’s just talking about it)?
* an interesting anecdote related to something artistic you’ve done?
* some ideas for a new project you’d like to start?
* writer’s block, or a feeling of being stuck at the moment, and a desire to discuss ideas to get the inspiration flowing?

If so, then come to the historic first ever meeting of the Prague Creative Conclave!

Our first meeting will consist of two parts:

First, there will be a structured discussion in two rounds:
Everyone will have a chance (in a short amount of time) to speak a bit about what they are working on, or about some past project, or something they would like to start, etc…
After everyone gets to speak, we’ll have a second round where others can ask questions to each person, or one can discuss some further details of their project.
After that, it’ll be a free-for-all: people can break into smaller groups to continue their discussions, wander around and listen, mingle, chat, or even show some things. Or, if enough excitement has been had for one day, it’s ok to just leave.
Later, there will (hopefully) also be some music as well (jamming/providing percussion is welcome).
Don’t worry if you’re not in the mood to say too much, just a few words are enough.
This first meeting is purely an experiment to see if this format works, and if it does, the group will probably begin to meet regularly starting in the autumn.
As long as the weather is good, we will meet in Prague 7 on the mystical island of Štvanice at 5pm.

The meeting point is in the middle of the island right next to the viaduct/train bridge, and just behind the “Mystic Skatepark Štvanice” (in the big grassy park area.)
Just look for a lovely-looking small tree with some coconut birdfeeders nearby. If that doesn’t narrow it down enough, then also look for a small assortment of purple balloons, which will be on display and which is the secret sign for the first Prague Creative Conclave meeting.
If you’re coming from the bridge with cars and trams (Hlávkův most, from the direction of Florenc or from Vltavska), then walk to the other end of the island (to the east, or to the right on the map), go past the big tennis arena, go under the viaduct, and the group should be there, just off of the path on the RIGHT side of the big grassy park.
If you’re coming from the new(-ish) pedestrian bridge (Štvanická lávka, from the direction of Holesovice Market/Holešovická tržnice or Karlín), then walk towards the center of the island (to the west, or to the left if you’re looking at a map). The outdoor cafe area/Baden Baden will be on your right; follow the path on the left side of the park, heading towards the viaduct/train bridge. On your left, behind a fence, you’ll see some sports areas, and then (if they’re still there on Friday), an assortment of dumpsters. Past the dumpsters, you should see the meeting place, to the left of the path. Look for a small tree and some purple balloons.
If for some reason we can’t be in that spot (for example, if it’s already taken, etc…), then we’ll be nearby. Just look for the balloons.

Also, we’ll be in the grass, so you may want to bring a blanket or something to sit on.
